Songs have the power to heal our hearts and raise our spirits.
No matter what we are going through we are always able to connect to one song or the other.
And, when the resonating frequency hits us, the solace we find is difficult to describe.
Welcome to HappinessDhaba, today we have come up with a list of 10 evergreen songs to rejuvenate you.
Here, we go,
#1: Safarnama:
Jise dhundha zamane mein, Mujhi mein tha
Some songs leave an everlasting impact on you. This song from the Bollywood movie Tamasha is one of them. This is truly a piece of art by the magical combo of A.R. Rahman and Lucky Ali.
Ranbir Kapoor comes back to his childhood storyteller to know his own life story. Talking to him he realizes that everything he has been searching for lies within him. It’s his fear that is obstructing him. And then comes the song.
Trust me, this scene will literally give you chills.
#2: Choti Si Asha:
Dil hai Chota sa, Choti si Asha
Another masterpiece by AR Rahman.
All of us sometimes feel low due to one reason or the other. This song has everything that it takes to bring you out of your low mood and sow the seed of hope in you.
#3: Kuch To Log Kahenge:
Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Logon Ka Kaam Hai Kahana
People have a tongue, they will talk. There is no compulsion to reply. Recite this song, and keep moving.
#4: Hostel:
Jithe hanse khede kade kade assi lad’de si
Main pher dobara ohi zindagi jeeni ae
This Punjabi song from Sharry Mann brings back our college memories. The video is so good that in each character we find our friends.
Walk down the memory lane with this one.
#5: Mai Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya:
This song has a lot to offer. But, I will discuss two things.
Firstly, it is a perfect answer to all our worries. Life is once, there is no such thing as ‘Agla Janam.’ Worries are a part of life.
Remember, worrying will never improve the situation, it will only worsen it. So get up and take action to improve the situation and in every case enjoy life.
Barbadiyon Ka Shok Manana Fizul Tha
Barbadiyon Ka Jashan Manata Chala Gaya
Secondly, don’t repent on what is gone. Life has plenty to offer. In one of the scenes, Dev’s cigarette falls into water which means he will not be able to use it.
Then he sees the image of his beloved on water. And, then comes,
Jo mil gya usi ko mukaddar samjh liya
#6: Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisar:
Kisika dard mil sake to le udhaar
Jeena isi ka naam hai
This song is so amazing. It is the language of life.
You don’t need a big bank balance to help people, You can help them just by listening to their sorrows.
#9: Yun Hi Chala Chal Rahi:
bhul sare jhamele, dekh phoolon k mele,
badi rangeen hai duniya.
The meaningful lyrics from Javed Akhtar, magical voices of Udit Narayan, Kailash Kher and Hariharan with unprecedented music of AR Rahman.
\What else one needs?
I can listen to this song my whole life and still not get bored.
#8: Champi:
Sar jo tera chakraye
Ya dil dooba jaye
Aaja pyare paas hamare
Kahe ghabaraye, kahe ghabaraye
The performance of Johny Walker in the song will make your day.
You will not even need a Champi after listening to this song. This light-hearted song is a must in everyone’s playlist.
#9: Panchi Ho Javan:
Jee chaahe panchi ho jaavaan,
Ud daa jaavaan, gaunda jaavaan,
Anchuhe sikharaan nu Choo paavaan,
Is duniya deeyaan raahvaan bhul ke
Pher kade na vaapas aavaan.
This song is actually a poem from legendary poet Shiv Kumar Batalvi Sahab. Beautifully sung by Jasleen Royal, it talks about how we all sometimes desperately want an escape from the utterly meaningless life we all are living.
#10: Thokar:
Tunn-ka Tunn-ka karke guddi charhdi hundi aa
This Punjabi song is one of the best motivational songs you will hear. It shows the struggle of a boy who after being rejected for the post of constable due to corruption becomes Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The greatest irony of this song is that though this song has inspired lakhs of people, it’s lyricist committed suicide. But, all I can say is that this is one of the finest morning motivation you will ever come across.
That’s all we have for today. Thanks a lot for tuning in to HappinessDhaba. Do let me know your views on these in the comment section. And, don’t forget to add more to the list.
Happy Reading!
