HappinessDhaba was started in 2017 as a quest to find something intact when the inner framework slowly began to break.. Books that refused conclusions, music that echoed long after it ended, thoughts that unsettled more than they solved, and the slow act of writing that asked for attention rather than speed.
It came from a growing distance from the noise of shallow achievements, the endless talk of success, and the rush to prove something in everything done. It came from the need to sit with questions that had no clear answers.
I graduated in civil engineering in 2017, after spending years doing what most of the students are trained to do. Studying, clearing exams, and building a life that looks good on paper. For a while, it worked. The marks came, the offers came, and things appeared to be unfolding as expected.
But slowly, over the years, my orientation to the world began to change. Attention broke apart, occupied by restless thinking that led nowhere.. I could manage the days, but the nights brought sleeplessness and existential angst that left no way out.
Questions that were once pushed aside started taking up more space. Meaning became harder to locate in the things that were supposed to provide it.
During those years, reading and writing were the only constants that didn’t feel empty. They weren’t hobbies. They weren’t escapes. They were ways of getting to know more about the discomfort.
Psychology came from living with those thoughts long enough. The formal training in psychology came later in the form of an MA, internships, certifications, and a postgraduate diploma in mental health.
This space has carried that journey. It has changed with time, but the core remains. A commitment to what remains when the fundamental structure of your identity falls apart. A go-to place for those who live with questions and do not need them to end.
Books that disturb
Music that unsettles
Thoughts that refuse closure
Writing that persists
